Lesson 1

Hey everyone...recently I started messing around with Jazz Chords and thought that it might be fun to just post up some stuff for everyone to follow along. If you've been playing guitar for a while and feel bored with regular major and minor chords and want to play some new chords...keep coming back to this blog cos I'll be posting some interesting chords and progressions for you to try.
To follow the lessons here, you need to know all your basic open chords and barre chords. If you don't know all of these, go learn them first then come back later.

To start of, try some of these chords.

Root 6th String
Major 7th
Fmaj7

Minor 7th
Fm7

Root 5th String
Major 7th
Bb
Maj7

Minor 7th
Bbm7

Use these chords to replace regular major and minor chords, for example
C / F / C / F becomes Cmaj7 / Fmaj7...etc
Am / D becomes Am7 / D maj7

Have fun and see you all soon!!
